Aboout Izzy:

Hi everyone! My name is Izzy and I am currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Pharmacy at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. My role as the Rural and Indigenous (RANDI) Chair is to liase with rural and Indigenous groups, The National Rural Health Alliance and Rural Pharmacist Australia, to advocate for culture awareness and discuss ways to combat issues associated to rural pharmacy. This year, the current COVID-19 lockdown has detrimentally impacted the ability for pharmacy students to attend and experience rural placements.

One of my main goals as the RANDI chair is to combat this issue, allowing pharmacy students to attend rural placement and gain a greater insight on rural health. I am hoping to achieve this by connecting with rural pharmacies to discuss ways in which we can circumvent the limitations caused by COVID-19.
