About Prianka:

I'm Prianka, a second-year student at Monash University, and I am the Rural and Indigenous (RANDI) Chair for NAPSA 2021/22!

Prior to joining NAPSA, I have been a part of my home branch, the Victorian Pharmacy Students Association (VPSA), organising sporting activities in my position as the Sports Chair. I am so excited to step into this new role of RANDI Chair with NAPSA!

My role involves representing my fellow pharmacy students to several organisations including the Community Pharmacists for Rural and Indigenous Australia advisory group to the Guild, and Rural Pharmacists Australia, advocating for issues related to rural pharmacy. My goals for the upcoming term include encouraging students to apply for rural placement and internship by hosting accessible education sessions about rural pharmacy and cultural awareness.

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the ability for students to attend rural placement, and I would love to start getting more students out to learn about rural health by helping facilitate these placements.
