NAPSA is extremely proud to have worked with Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia to bring you a webinar that focuses on mental health and how you can help someone who may be experiencing a mental health problem. Did you know that each year, 1 in 5 Australians will experience a mental illness and many people are not knowledgeable or confident to offer assistance? MHFA teaches people the skills to help someone who they're concerned about!
The webinar was held on ‘R U Ok? Day’, the 9th of September 2021, from 6:00pm-7:00pm (NSW time). NAPSA acknowledges, supports and applauds the work that Mental Health First Aid Australia is doing for our community. Throughout the webinar, the following topics were covered:
About Mental Health First Aid Australia
What is Mental Health First Aid?
When should I be concerned about someone?
How can I help?
How to become a Mental Health First Aider
Where can I learn more?
The two keynote speakers that hosted the webinar were Erin Healy (School and University Engagement Manager) and Fairlie Cottrill (Community Engagement Manager). To find out more information about MHFA Australia, please visit: https://mhfa.com.au
