NAPSA x PSS Webinar: Self-care as a pharmacist

October is Mental Health Awareness Month. This is a time where we can raise awareness around mental health and find strategies on how we can improve our wellbeing. This month, NAPSA hosted a webinar with the Pharmacists’ Support Service (PSS) that covered ways to reduce your stress as a pharmacist. The webinar was held on the 20th of October 2021 from 7:00pm-8:30pm (AEST).
During the webinar, we heard from 4 Early Career Pharmacists about how they manage pressure and stressful times in the workplace. The 4 panel speakers for the webinar were:
Ella Crust (Community Pharmacy Intern, Regional Western Australia)
James Buckley (Community Pharmacist Manager, Sunshine Coast)
Shefali Parekh (Hospital Pharmacist – Cancer Services, Melbourne)
Vasilios Sotiropoulos (Hospital Pharmacist, Adelaide)
Pharmacists’ Support Service is a free service that pharmacists, pharmacy interns and pharmacy students can ring from 8am-11pm AEST, every day of the year. They support you by providing a team of volunteer pharmacists trained in peer support and telephone counselling ready to take your calls.
