On 8th August, the National Australian Pharmacy Students' Association (NAPSA) elected the new Committee Chairs for the 2016/2017 term. After a lengthy and rigorous process, the NAPSA Board and Advisory Council are pleased to announce the following successful applicants:

The incoming Board is extremely proud of the work of the outgoing Board, who have lifted NAPSA's image and profile within the pharmacy profession significantly over the past year. President, Shefali Parekh said, "it is our goal to continue this vital work and collaborate with our professional pharmacy colleagues at the Pharmacy Guild of Australia (PGA), the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) and Society of Hospital Pharmacists Australia (SHPA) in order to do so".

NAPSA is overwhelmed with the efforts and commitment their members have shown to the organisation. "With our new committee now in full force, we are ready to give back to our members and continue to kick goals for NAPSA", said Miss Parekh.

Also over the weekend, NAPSA and the Guild committed to a stronger working relationship by renewing their agreement for another three years. NAPSA is pleased to continue this strong relationship with their principal sponsor and are excited to bringing some of the new initiatives from this agreement to Australia's future pharmacists. PGA National Secretariat, Leanne Nelson said, "I look forward to working closely with [NAPSA]. It is comforting to know that we have such enthusiastic and professional young pharmacists ready to take the industry into the future".
